Counter Offer? Really?

Okay, I've just been offered another position within my current workplace - to report directly to my director, without all the fancy hierarchy between me and the management.

Now this is a tough decision - I should have just stuck to my guns and left without listening to any counter offers. But curiosity overwhelmed me and I just had to know what was on offer if I wanted to stay.

There's too many emotional attachments with my current workplace for me to just let go, unlike some other things. To be involved in almost all the milestones of the company from Day One, the offer just screams out for utmost consideration.

Now Mokx, go ahead and crank your brain up - think about it. So what are the options I have? Well...

A. To stay at my current workplace, being a direct report to my director but doing the same job, or

B. To leave to an industry I love and take up a whole new challenge.

I love the people in option A (e.g. my friends and my director) and for B, I love the industry. So I have a tough decision to make, DAMN!

I have a few days to decide. Hopefully, I can make the proper decision which will benefit my career and life.
